Visit the siteHave you ever based a character on someone you know?
My characters are traits of people I know or have observed. I tend to blend several characteristics in my characters, although sometimes, I have a certain person in mind.
What’s your writing kryptonite (biggest distraction)?
Social media platforms. Lol
If you could rewrite one of your books, which one would it be and why?
I think I would add or subtract words from all my books. Most authors after reading their own manuscripts after publishing have the same afterthoughts.
What’s a fun fact about you that most readers wouldn’t know?
I am an introvert. Besides my family and a few close friends, I prefer alone time! Most mornings are spent in pajamas, with a pot of coffee, on my computer, trying to keep off FB so I can work!
If you could co-write a book with any author, who would it be?
Stephan King...if I wasn't afraid of working with the master mind of horror! I am more of a science-fiction/fantasy writer.
What do you love most about connecting with your readers?
I love to hear that they enjoyed my books. If they have a question, I try to explain the concept of my writing to them.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever researched for a book?
So many strange things. Research of the paranormal, supernatural, dimensional time travel, diverse spiritualty, and alternate realities.
Do you outline your books, or are you more of a ‘pantser’?
I just start with an idea, come up with characters, and they take it from there!
What role does research play in your writing process?
I do a lot of research because to make a book interesting and explainable, there has to be documentation of events based on places and people.
If you could add a new skill to your writing toolbox, what would it be?
Editing and marketing. I love to write, but promoting my books is hard and time consuming.
What’s the one thing you hope readers remember about your books?
Although my books are works of fiction, they hold insights and perspectives of truth. This I hope will inspire readers think about how they receive and concept alternate possibilities.
