KD Sherrinford is an international Multi-Award-winning author, best known for her thrilling Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler mysteries. 

Born in Preston, UK, KD now lives on The Fylde Coast with her husband, John and their two children.

An avid reader from an early age, KD loved the mystery writers; Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie were her favourites. Always fascinated by the iconic character Irene Adler, she felt disappointed when Irene failed to appear in any further Doyle stories after " A Scandal in Bohemia." After visiting the Sherlock Holmes Museum in 2019 with her daughter Katie, KD was inspired to start to work on her debut novel and Book 1 of the series " Song for Someone."

The novel was launched in November 2019, and soon garnered rave reviews. Critics described " Song for Someone" as an evocative masterpiece, and a tale that stands out in Contemporary Literature. The book was awarded The Editors Gold Seal, was a Crimson Quill, Shortlisted at The Ciba Series Book Awards, was a Finalist at The Chanticleer International Book Awards-The Chatelaine, awarded a Top Prize at Author Shout, and more recently was a winner at The International Impact Awards. 

Books 2 and 3 followed, the Novellas " Christmas at The Saporis" and " Meet Me in Milan", both shortlisted at Chanticleer in 2 categories. 

Book 4, the latest addition to the series, was launched on the 30th of December 2024, " The Whistle of Revenge." is an exciting, jaw-dropping follow-up to Doyle's Hound of The Baskervilles. The book has already garnered excellent reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and Bookbub. Author Ryan Hale described it as the best book he read in 2024, and a literary masterpiece. 

KD will start work on book five this coming spring.
