Mark Bird is a children’s author and teacher. His debut picture book, ‘Halloween Date From Hell’ came out in October 2022 followed by ‘The Klangaroo’ in 2024. Mark has poems featured in several anthologies including Ana Sampson’s ‘Heroes and Villains: Poems about Legends’, Gaby Morgan’s ‘Cosy Poems’, Brian Moses’ ‘The Best Ever Book of Funny Poems’, Kathryn Beevors’ ‘Peak Poetry’ and in Gill Education’s ‘Over The Moon’ series. He is also featured in the upcoming ‘Sky Surfing – Adventures in a Poetry Balloon’ edited by Jonathan Humble.

 Mark has also had poems published by Northern Gravy, The Dirigible Balloon and in several magazines including The Caterpillar, The Toy, Parakeet, Little Thoughts Press and Paperbound Magazine.
