What’s your favorite book that you’ve written, and why?Gosh, that’s a hard decision. I honestly can’t pick one. I believe my 2 books that I have published this far is so great for different reasonings. “Beautifully Blended” is geared towards kids and it sends a positive message and gives kids the chance to be seen and feel heard about a topic that’s not always so easy. And “The Goal Is In You” is truly what the title means. It’s an adult/young adult book that talks about positive reinforcement, goal obtaining, life thoughts. I feel my books are very relatable and that’s why I can’t just pick one.

Have you ever based a character on someone you know?My characters are traits of people I know or have observed. I tend to blend several characteristics in my characters, although sometimes, I have a certain person in mind.

What inspired you to start writing?Boredom. I had a temp job where there was little to do but answer phones so I started scribbling a short story idea on paper and before long I submitted it to Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine. I didn’t know anything about formatting for submission, just winged it off! Never got it published but never lost my desire to fill empty spaces of live with writing. Some think I’m a little ADHD, could be true. But I’m also very focused -- since that time, I’ve published 17 books. 17? How’d that happen?

Tell us a little about yourself and your background.I’m from England, just outside London and trained as an actor. After working in theatre and television for four years I followed my interest in broadcast media and started working in radio for the BBC in London. This led to a stint working in the Middle East as a TV and radio presenter. When I returned to London, I worked for the BBC mainly in music radio. I have been lucky enough to travel round the world making programmes about and interviewing musicians including Paul McCartney, The Bee Gees, Lemmy, Cher, Marvin Hamlisch, Susannah Hoffs (The Bangles), Ozzy Osbourne, Bill Wyman, Lynryd Skynrd, Megadeth and many more - even some I've forgotten over time. I've written over two hundred arti...

What inspired you to start writing? When I was in Elementary. I was watching these Hanna Barbera Cartoons and was truly enjoying them. I said to my parents I wanna do that. My Parents said to animate that you need to find a story, where and how are you going to find a story? I Immediately said I will write myself. My Parents said very nice, go for it. That's how it all began.
